Sacred Dance is the beautification of body, mind, and spirit through movement. It is when the dancer or choreographer intends to connect with divine experience, communicate with the unseen world, or express something about what is Sacred to themselves or to an audience. It can take many forms, from disciplined temple dances, to free form movement meant to connect the dancer with a deeper sense of themselves. In short, it is a movement meditation.
Sacred dance can tell us stories of the Sacred. It can be healing done for ourselves or others. It can be prayer. It can be ritual. I like to use it for all of these things.
In the Intuition series, we use dance as a meditation to deepen our connection to our own wisdom. We honor our bodies as divine tools of experience, and we explore what it feels like to have that deep knowing flow through us physically.
In the Four Directions series, we work with the elements and their cardinal directions. We use dynamic exploration as well as choreography to honor and call in the directions. This can be done as a meditation, as an honoring of Nature, or as a calling in of the elements for formal ritual.
In the Medicine Dance workshop, we use dance as prayer. We have cathartic exploration of what troubles us, we give it a voice, we name and embody it, and then we dance the healing. We give the medicine a voice, we name it and embody it, and the group dances the healing with us. We are witnessed, we are supported, we heal.
In the Finding Beauty series, we focus on form and technique. We explore lines and grace, we explore how our bodies like to feel beautiful. We connect with Venus and allow her to move through us.
You do not have to have dance experience to come to class. You only need an open mind, a willingness to explore your inner world, and to enjoy movement (or want to enjoy it).

I am Faelan, and I have lived a lot of life. My quest has always been to embrace magic and spirituality as part of a normal part of living. As long as I can remember, my artistic endeavors have fed that search for meaning, as I have done my best to get my visions out on paper, from a pencil or a brush, through a song, on a stage. Most of the arts that I court are purely for joy, curiosity, delight, or a personal drive to get my big feelings on the outside. Dance is different.
Dance is the one art form that I took to the professional level. I trained until I succeeded. I had a career as a dancer, choreographer, director, and teacher. I danced on stages all over the US, I taught as far as Wales (in person, many more distances covered online). I danced with big names. I held 4 different formats in the fusion belly dance world. I even developed my own format.
In 2020 the whole world changed, and I switched my focus to full time Priestessing work and became a Master Certified Astrologer (full bio here). I thought my dance days had faded into another sunset.
In 2024 the Muses started whispering to me again, and this time about the importance of combining the sacred art of dance into our spiritual development. For me, art and spirituality have never been separate. And now I seek to combine them to share with others. To empower us. To bring beauty back into the world. To let our bodies take their rightful place as a temple of magic.
Let's dance and pray and heal. Let's make the world beautiful again.
